The Electro-LIGHT Yaself Drink

Standard

Earlier this Summer, I was given the opportunity to learn Electrolytes’ important role to the human organism intimately when my own Electrolyte levels fell dangerously low, forcing me to spend five days in the hospital …

For that reason, I have become much more conscientious about consuming these important minerals in forms that are both available and made of the sorts of raw materials that I feel comfortable putting into my body. The primary way I have done this is by creating this special Electro-LIGHT drink – which not only has Sea Salt, Citrus Juice, and Magnesium, but also has the benefits of blue-green algae–which literally adds LIGHT to my body. I consume this drink first thing in the morning – but immediately following a workout session would be another advantageous time to take it. It’s quick and easy and can be made in larger batches ahead of time.

I know … It looks like an algal bloom. Fortunately, it tastes better than it looks and I believe it benefits my body more than an algal bloom benefits a lake. The recipe is as follows:

Ingredients

1 tsp Spirulina

1 tsp Bee Pollan

1 tsp Magnesium Powder

1/2 tsp Sea Salt

1-2 Tbsp Lemon or Lime Juice

8 oz Spring Water

Variations:

Bee Pollan isn’t a necessity. Personally, I consume it to assist my environmentally-based allergies (which are especially strong in the mid-Atlantic region of the US). If you do use it for this purpose, I suggest using local Bee Pollan to receive the greatest benefits.

Fresh Coconut Water is a great alternative to regular water – especially given that it is high in electrolytes. If fresh Coconut Water is unavailable in your location, 1 tsp Coconut Water Powder mixed with Water also works.

Stir or shake everything. Depending on the type of Magnesium Powder used, it may fizz a bit – this is normal. If you choose to try this recipe, I hope you receive the benefits I am and would love to hear about your experience either way.

Blessings
