Daily Tarot Reflection – 20 Jan 2018 – The Hermit & The High Priestess

Take time. Take time to sit. Be still. Take active rest. This isn’t a time to “relax”, per se. It’s a time to listen, meditate, write, breathe, make art. Go inward. Ask the universe for that which you seek. Open yourself to that which is greater than you. Allow god to speak. You can’t ask for all the things you want and then run around looking for it. You must allow yourself to receive it. You must take time. Don’t spend too much time with others today. More importantly, don’t let others’ energy interfere with your interaction with yourself and the divine—whether they’re in your physical presence or not. Close a door or sit deep within a natural setting. Find your internal divine, tap into your intuition, let it speak everything it needs to speak. Listen until it empties itself. The High Priestess is one of the most powerful cards in the Deck. She’s the second energy the Fool encounters on their journey and she may be my favorite of the Major Arcana energies. She’s beautiful in a way that you can’t quite put your finger on. She’s multidisciplinary in her brilliance—the most intuitive and yet, highly intellectual. She can’t be outsmarted and she doesn’t compete so there’s no use trying. She’s the one you go to when you need the whole truth from many angles. She’s inside each of us, but she needs space to see. Today, go to the High Priestess—the one within and the one without. Commune with the moon. Nestle into Nature. Send greetings to your gods. Surrender to your spirits. Interact with your ancestors. Do it safely, cautiously. Set physical and spiritual boundaries so that you speak only with those welcome to this foray. You have more power than you know. Give yourself the space to find it. Ache. 🙏🏼
