Daily Tarot Reflection – 29 Jan 2018 – The 7 of Cups Reversed

(Image from the Bird Queen Designs Tarot Deck)

Happy Monday. It’s a brand new week—an eclipse week, a week that could bring immense change, especially immense inner change. The week surrounding an eclipse can be unpredictable, as can the 7 of Cups—regardless of whether it’s upright or reversed. This is mostly because it relates to dreams, fantasies, illusions and delusions. When this card is upright, the dreams and delusions are up above and you remain grounded. When this card is reversed, however, you allow yourself to be grounded in your dreams and/or delusions. Can you allow your authentic dreams and desires to guide you without building your life on a foundation of illusion? Let what’s real keep you grounded and let your dreams keep you pushing for something greater. Don’t let go of your dreams—they are what make life interesting, they are what motivate and inspire us to do better, to do more, to do things that are beyond our reach at the moment. Reach for that which is beyond you, but make sure you’re standing on solid ground. Make sure your foundation is steady. I don’t recommend trying to live in a sand castle. It will disappear easily. But sand is an incredible medium for facilitating a vision or dream of any kind. Today, allow yourself to see the vision of what you want while remaining firmly planted on the ground. Build as many sand castles as you want. Explore all of the options. Dream as far as you want. But make sure that the home to which you return at the end of the day—the physical structure in which you live and the structures that you allow to shape your life and thoughts—are solid and steady. Ache 🙏🏼
