Daily Tarot Reflection – 20 Feb 2018 – 8 of Pentacles Reversed

(Cards from The Wild Unknown Deck)

When you’re a person who cares deeply about the world, who wants to accomplish a lot, it can be easy to bite off more than you can chew. It can be easy to over-commit. It can be easy to say “yes” to more than you can handle. You aren’t here to do everything. You are only here to do your own work. Your work might be immense and multifaceted, but you are never meant to feel exhausted. Today, don’t start anything new. There will be a time for newness soon enough, but today is the time to master what you’ve already started, what you’re already working on. This doesn’t only mean work projects. It also means personal projects. Don’t switch to or add a new system, diet, schedule, spiritual practice or creative practice. Don’t start anything new today. Today, go with what you know. Stay in your own flow. The spider is master of her craft. She weaves stories and art and webs with her body. You, too, need your body to weave your web. You, too, need your body to do your work. If you’ve never given your body the chance to speak, to tell you what it really wants and needs, let that be the one new thing you do today. You do not have to impose this day upon yourself. You are not here to heed that which exists outside of you. Let the day flow through you. Be a master of your own existence. Ache 🙏🏼
